Use a diamond blade hole saw of the appropriate diameter. Drill slowly at first and squirt water on the cutting surface at all times to reduce heat and friction.

Use a wet diamond or carbide bit. Depending on the location of the hole relative to the edge of the marble you may want to cut rather than drill it.

To drill a hole into marble use a carbide mason drill bit with a hammer drill or high torque electric drill.

Use a carbide tipped drill bit or a carbide grit hole saw. Drill at a moderate speed. Keep bit and marble cool with water while working.
