Long division. See what multiplies by the first term of the binomial so it matches the first term of the polynomial. Multiply that by the second term, subtract, repeat.
For dividing polynomials by binomials use a technique called synthetic division. Else try to factor both expressions and cancel out the common terms,or write polynomial in terms of binomial and cancel.
