Diagnosing problems begins with symptoms; for example, if you're not experiencing any cold air, this could be the result of a faulty condenser, cooling fan, or relay switch. If the air conditioning only blows out of select vents, there's a bad vacuum hose.

If you're not getting any air then check the vents for a clog or check the amount of Freon you may have in your automobile. It could be anything from a faulty condenser, to no Freon and maybe even as bad as a bad cooling fan or even relay switch.

The only way to diagnose problems with the air conditioning in a 97 Nissan Quest is to take it to a mechanic and have them look at the Frehon charge.
