How do I crochet a diamond trellis pattern?

I am new to crocheting and would like to learn to do new stitches.

I hope this is what you're looking for. Single crochet in first space from hook, in the next space do 2 double crochet, chain 2, do another 2 double crochet in the same space. Do a single crochet in the next space. This makes a pretty edge to your piece.
