You can rewallpaper the area in question. If the holes are in wood siding get a matching color wood putty and smear in with a q-tip.

On a tree? i would not worry, on household furnitures, with wood putty. match the putty color with your furniture and cover it up.

There is not really a way to cover the pinholes caused by tree bugs. The first thing you need to do is get rid of the bugs. You may then try to squirt some tree repair glue in to see if that helps.
