Spaying or neutering your dog will help. Remove any objects (toys, food bowls) that trigger the aggression. Be calm and assertive, do not act afraid. Use a muzzle around others.

To control an aggressive dog you must be assertive. Start by walking the dog on a leash in a controlled environment, such as inside your house. Hold the leash straight up so that the collar is firmly placed behind the ears at all times, like a hangman's noose.

Rehabilitation is the key, and unless you know what you are doing you absolutely need supervised training from a professional. The wrong techniques with an aggressive dog can escalate the aggression, and with large predator breeds (German Shepherd, etc. ) can even trigger potentially lethal behaviour. Seek professional help!

To be able to control your dogs aggression you have to understand that dogs are aggressive by nature. Figuring out what is causing the aggression becomes they best way to solve the aggression problems. You may need to reestablish yourself as the leader of the pack or maybe is your dog fearful of something?
