Assuming this is an indoor problem on a carpeted area, you can not remove pet urine with regular carpet cleaners. You must buy a special pet urine cleaner to break down the enzymes and eliminate the stain and smell. Also, try walking your dog more frequently to encourage outdoor urination.

There are several types of sprays that are meant to clean urine from carpets and flooring. First take a rag with hot water and clean the spot well. Spray your dog urine remover spray over top the spot. If the dog pees there enough times the smell WON'T go away.

You can clean it with anti-bacterial liquids one or more times on the spot and may be you can start feeding your pet on or close to that spot, you can put a piece of paper on your dogs litter and keep it wherever you intend your dog to pee.

When an animal urinates on a spot they will usually try to do it again unless you eliminates the odor completely. I recommend using Nature's Miracle. It works.
