To clean hard water spots, start with scrubbing the area with a product similar to Comet. Then polish the area with Rainex. If you use Rainex as a polish, this will prevent future build-up. The water will bead up and run off the polished surface.

You have 2 options. Soak the area with pure vinegar, let stand for an hour. The other option is to make a 50/50 mixture of water and baking soda, place on affected area and let stand at least 30 minutes then just wipe clean.

Go to your hardware or grocery store and purchase a bottle of cleaning solution recommended for hard water stains. One popular brand is CLR. If you cannot find the cleaning product, you can always just rub it with a wet sponge or rag.

Mix baking soda and vinegar into a paste, then apply the mixture to the spots. Let it sit for a few hours, then come back and scrub it off. Repeat as necessary.
