How do I change the evaporator in a car?

You need to pull the whole dash out of the car.The evaporator core is located in a big case in the dash area, next to the heater core and air conditioner unit.Remove the unit from the dash, hold the new unit upside down and line up the screw holes and insert the new unit.

The specific instructions would depend on what type of vehicle you own. In most cases the evaporater is behind the dash board on the right hand side or bnear the middle. You would have to remove the dash to get to the evaporater case.

Changing the evaporator on a car is exclusive to the make and model of your car. The best way is to search online or ask a mechanic.

Its is best that you use a machanic to chang the eveporator as it is deep inside the dash, and requires specific tools which you might not have.
