With attention/control,I suggest reading the dog whisperer books. I own a bluenose and so i have one tip; playing with pitbull is healthy for the dog, regardless of breed, but when playtime is over make sure he/she is the one to let go and give you possession of the toy

Pit bulls are loving dogs and love attention from their owners. They are full of energy so try to get it exercise as much as possible. They love to chew everything at that age and with their jaw strength they can ruin a lot of things, so keep it in a pen when you can't keep an eye on it.

Take it for a walk at least 4 or 5 times a week. They should really be walked daily. Pitt bulls grow to be 100% loyal to the human they grew up with. This is why they can make great family pets, or vicious fighting dogs. You can even train them to get hit by cars, wierd but true.

Care for a pit bull puppy the same way you would for any other breed of puppy, but make especially sure the puppy gets socialized properly. With the bad reputation pit bulls have, it is very important you make sure yours is a good representative of the breed.
