This tropical plant likes part shade to full sun and a rich, well drained soil. It will need a trellis for its vines and a high phosphorus fertilizer every other week. Also water well on the hot summer days. It can easily be started from cuttings and be moved outdoors when the overnight temperatures are 50 degrees and above.

Place in full sun although it will do well elsewhere. Full sun means more flowers with this plant. Water consistently and pinch small stems for bushier plant. Use liquid fertilizer.

Use a rich soil mixture and good drainage while planting. Pruning is a important role of caring plant. To make the plant bushier, remove the back buds in young stage. In winter prune the plant slightly,to get rid of crowded ones and allowing new ones to grow.

Mandevillas do best with indirect sunlight, so keep your plant away from windows where they would get too much sun. Also, make sure your house temperature is between 60-70 degrees Fahrenheit. If you leave your plant outside in the summer, be sure to bring it in before temperatures drop below 45 degrees, as the plant will die.
