How do I apply for a job and let the employer know I am older?

They can tell how old you are by the date of your high school graduation on your application or resume. It is not legal to ask but you can tell.

It's unclear why you would want a potenial employeer to know you are an older adult but you should know there are protected classes of people in the workplace. Minority classes can include racial classification, seniors or people over 40. However, in your case, simply putting the years of your schooling may suffice.

Age discrimination is illegal in most states. However, it is difficult to prove. It is better not to indicate or state your age in either your application or your interview.
