A summons is notice to appear, regardless where it is issued. Go to court on the date indicated. There may be additional documentation requiring you to bring specific materials with you to the appearance. If you are unable to appear on the prescribed date, notify the court and the attorneys.

You answer to a summons by appearing the courtroom they ask you to appear in on the time and date listed on the summons you received. You can always hire an attorney to appear on your behalf for the initial hearing and then see how that goes before making the trip.

You follow the directions stated in the summons, and appear at court as laid out in the summons. If you have any doubts, or cannot appear, you call the court stated in the summons. Do NOT fail to appear, that's a violation, contempt of court and may be a misdemeanor

Usually the summons itself will provide you with basic instruction on how to answer. If it does not, then I would contact the clerk of the court from where the summons was issued. An answer must be in writing and filed with the court and copies to the opposing party.

You will need to go to the courts and ask someone who knows about summons. or call a lawyer and ask them, what you need to do, the lawyer would know what you need to do.
