If civil summons are served for court appearance on a person, he or she would have to be present on the day specified by the court. If due to some genuine reasons, that person is unavailable for presence, then that fellow would have to give in writing before hand.

You can go about it a couple of different ways. You can hire an attorney and have them submit an answer on your behalf, or you can do it yourself. If you do it yourself make sure that you type up your response and make it look neat. Include any evidence and deliver it in person to the courthouse.

You should go to the court house and ask them what you need to do, they can help you out with that question.
