A psychosomatic illness is a mental illness in which the person has physical symptoms as a result of the mental illness. A psychologist or psychiatrist will diagnose this illness by listening to the person's description of their symtpoms. Then tests will be run to rule out physical reasons for the symptoms.

You need to get into the doctor right away then do not take the time to guess or possibly get wrong or bad information the quicker they find the problem the better chance for a cure.

In orders for doctors to diagnose a psychosomatic illness they must first rule out any medical illnesses that could cause the symptoms the patient is experiencing.

Pyschosomatic means you have convinced yourself you are sick but you really are not. If you have been told this by only one doctor, and you feel you are really sick, get a second opinion. Keep a journal of your symptoms to show the doctor.
