How difficult is it to learn German?

To learn the German lanuage is quite difficult, as every noun has gender, which are either der, die, or das. Der is masculine, die is feminine and der is neutral. A lot of the German grammar is based on these and therefore very hard to learn. But I do believe that it is a bit easier than learning French.

It is not "easy" to learn any new language. It takes time and practice. Some people are more inclined, especially if they have more than one language.

German isn't really difficult too learn if you speak a Germanic language such as Dutch, English etc. Of course there is a big difference because of the spelling. There are also much more accents that you need to deal with.

German is considered more difficult than Italian or Spanish, but easier than Russian or Arabic. There are a lot of cognates - words that sound the same in both languages.
