The Ford Mercury Capri was first built in Germany. It was sold through Lincoln-Mercury in North America when the cars migrated over here. The name comes from the island of "Capri". It was developed as a baby version of the popular Ford Mustang. It was a 2 door car with a small trunk

The Ford Mercury Capri originated in Europe and was imported to the US by the Ford company so it could emulate the American Pony Car.

It's a spin off of a popular model from the late 80s. It emphasis strength in engine while maintaintg a cool exterior. This is a fairly broad question becomes there are many different models of your type of car. I would either consult a mechanic personally, or refer to your user manual.

I believe the name came from the island in Italy called Capri back in the 1950's. The meaning of Capri is "baby Mustang". In the later years, the Ford Mercury Capri became as the well - known Ford Mustang. The Capri was first introduced back 1970's. It usually has a small trunk with long hoods.
