To the best of my knowledge, Albert Einstein did not invent anything. However, his work on Theory of Special Relativity did culminate in the engineering of the global positioning system which depend on calculations of time down to the nanometer which was precisely described by Einstein. So in a sense Albert Einstein invented the G.P.S.

Albert Einstein was a theoretical physicist. This means that he focused on explaining physical phenomena instead of performing experiments or inventing contraptions. Einstein made numerous contributions to the fields of Special/General Relativity and Quantum Mechanics. He won a Nobel Prize for his work regarding Quantum Mechanics.

Strictly speaking, Albert Einstein did not invent anything: no new machines, tools, etc. But he made immense contributions to physics. For example, he explained Brownian motion. He also explained the photoelectric effect, which lead towards quantum mechanics. And of course there are his theories of relativity: special and general relativity.

Albert Einstein and his student Leo Szilard invented the Einstein Refrigerator in 1926, and it was patented in 1930. It was an alternative design to that of Baltzar von Platen and Carl Munters in 1922. It is an absorption refrigerator which has no moving parts and only needs a heat source to work rather than electricity.

Albert Einstein was a theoretical, rather than experimental, physicist. So rather than "invent" devices, he used logic to formulate new theories about how the universe works. He is widely known for his theories of relativity and the photoelectric effect, and he laid the foundation for quantum mechanics.

Yes, he invented a absortion refrigerator, called Einstein refrigerator. It has no moving parts and uses heat to refrigerate things! But Einstein made a revolution on the physics, it is the reason he is famous. He "invented" the special and the Theory of Relativity General, which re-defined very fundamental concepts on physics, and have many applications.

Einstein and his student Leo Szilard invented a refrigerator in 1926. It had no moving parts and did not make noise.
