Green is the rarest of all eye colours. Less than 2% of people in the world have green eyes, and in some populations (especially in the Middle East, South America and Asia) the colour is almost completely absent. It is more common among Caucasians, although Turks have the highest percentage.

Green eyes are the rarest of eye colors due to its dna. The genes of green eyes are recessive which means stronger genes like brown and blue would take over.

Green color is not so common. Some use lenses of green color. Some people may have green eye color because of hereditary effects. Some people make their eye color green to look stylish.

Since I am a person with green eyes, I know there are not many people with my eye color. The majority of people have brown eyes, followed by blue. Basically, green eyes are a hereditary trait of the combined gene for blue and brown eyes from the parents lineage.
