You can relieve the pain in the area by applying an ice pack on the outside of your mouth. You can also take a pain reliever such as tylenol.

Avoid physical activity, don't smoke, don't poke around in the socket. Rinse after 24hours with salty mouthwash. take whatever you would for a headache - NOT asprin.

Gargling with warm water and table salt solution is often an effective and easy treatment. Also, taking pain pills such as ibuprofen or tylenol will temporarily relieve pain until the extraction has healed on its own.

Whatever you take for a headache should help - anything paracetemol based. Avoid Asprin. Try warm salty mouthwashes to promote healing especially after eating

The best way is with pain medicine, otherwise it is going to be painful for a little while. There really is nothing else to make it stop.
