Thinking critically involves looking for flaws or weakspots. If you want to say something in writing, you look at what you have: Does this make the point? Do I like reading this? Will it work for other people? Then you rewrite it in fifty different ways until it does.

Thinking critically helps you analyze information. You are better able to assess, summarize, and form your own thoughts or opionions about a given issue or topic. Your writing will be more thoughtful, and possibly thought-provoking. It will also be unique.
