To unlock your screen when you do not know the password, Plug in the ipod touch into your computer and open the itunes application. There it will begin to sync and it will unlock your ipod touch. You may than create a new code. This time write it down so you don't forget.

You probably stole the iPod, or else you wouldn't be asking this question. Nevertheless, I will answer it. Opening the iPod is disk drive mode should make it appear as a removable storage device. Then open it and go to a file called "_lock" and change the file name to "_unlock."

Dock the iPod to your computer, backup the songs, then reformat the iPod and put the music back on it. If you don't know the password, that's all you can do, short of sitting and guessing.

If you want to unlock the screen you will need to have the password, otherwise you will not be able to unlock it. You may have to reset the whole ipod and start off fresh. You will lose all information stored on the ipod unless it is saved on your computer as it should be.

You can contact apple and ask them the procedure for a soft reset of the ipod. this will reset the settings but will not wipe your drive.

You're going to need to take it to an electronics expert. Either your local best buy or take it in to geek squad. This is a fairly broad questions, there are many different types and brands of what you're looking for, I would suggest visiting your local electronics and consulting with an expert.

Just restore your iPod's firmware. All your music and stuff is stored in iTunes or redownloadable from the store, so you can get it back.

By calling your service provider. They will ask you questions to identify yourself to make sure that you are really the owner.
