How can I treat a bee sting near my eye?

I work for an optometrist and a patient come in with a bee sting, it had happened the same day and the OD was able to get the sting out with a tweezer. We also perscribe a ointement. If you can't get to your Dr. use bakeing soda and water and make a paste then apply to the area.

With it being so close to your eye, you should be careful with creams such as benadryl. A home rememdy that I use and use on my son is to take a dab of toothpaste and put on the sting. I
