Install a drip strip along the top of the window to move the water away from the windows. This is like a lip above the outside of the window.

The problem with the leakage is from the outside so address the way the window fits to the house. Go outside when it is dry and check for gaps. See if you need to install a strip of wood or if caulk will do the job. Fill the gap and perhaps add metal flashing to prevent more leaks.

The first step is to find the exact location of the leak. Once that is done, fill the leaking area with some caulking, that should prevent further leaks.

a quick easy way to stop water from leaking through windows is by taking some elmers glue and sealing the top of the window with it. This will create a wedge that keeps the water out.
