If you are referring to how to speed up your existing dial up connection, you can do so with an internet accelerator. Some companies, such as NetZero, have existing ones that are installed with the NetZero cd. A simple search of "dial up internet accelerator" can bring you various programs that can do this job by compressing images.

The best thing you can do in order to speed up your connection on dial up is to configure your web browser so that scripts, images and activex controls don't automatically try to load. This will reduce the need for additional bandwidth for each webpage you visit and drastically reduce page download times.

Your dial-up freeware cannot be sped up. Dial-up is a severely limited connection to the internet via a dialed-in modem, and if you'd like the Internet to load faster, it will be much easier to upgrade to xDSL or Cable Internet.

Make sure if the software is the latest. Check if there are any firmware updates are available for your dialup modem. If none of the above works see if there are any more freeware available online.
