The Gutenberg Project offers full text of novels no longer protected by copyright. It is illegal to post a copyrighted text online without permission of the owner.

Do a quick search of google books. Go to google and find their books page. On this website you can do a search of any novels that you are interested in reading. Sometimes there is limited preview access to many books which are not being published anymore. You can read many pages of these kinds of books.

Yo0u can purchase one as an e-book and read it on your computer, or you can get older books for free and read them by looking them up online.

Not right now. There is this thing that Amazon makes called a Kindle. It's an electronic device that you can read books and novels on. When you want a new one all you do is download a new book from Amazon. It's easier than going to a bookstore and picking one out and there are some offered for free.
