How can I put a motherboard into a computer as the slave drive?

A motherboard is not a dive (aka Hard Drive/Disk) and therefore can not be designated as a slave to anything. Typically a computer will consist of one motherboard and one or several hard drives, the the latter scenario designates drive one as master and any subsequent hard drive would be assigned as a slave using the 'drive-jumpers' and System BIOS.

The motherboard can not be set as a "slave drive". This question makes no sense. You can use jumpers on the back of hard drives to set a HD slave.
