How can I make stencils for painting?

Using card stock paper, of whatever size you need, you can cut out the shapes you want and then tape them, using masking tape (it does not stick as bad as some other tapes), to the canvas. The materials you would need would be: masking tape, card stock paper, and scissors.

You need thin stencil plastic. Very sharp craft Exacto knives. Make a copy of what you want to stencil and lay it under the plastic and draw the picture on the plastic. Then is should be ready to cut it out. I started small and made a dog bone.
