Place the green tomatoes in a jar with vinegar and any spices you wish to add for flavoring, such as pepper or thyme, and refrigerate for several weeks until the vinegar "cooks" the tomatoes.

An easy way is to reserve the pickle juice from your last big jar of store bought dill pickles. Wash and slice your green tomatoes and them put them in the pickle jar with the saved juice. I often add extra garlic cloves, pepper corns and jalapeƱo peppers. Leave it in the 'fridge for a couple weeks covered, and VOILA!

There are many recipes on the internet. You would use the same recipe for tomatoes as you would for pickles. The skin is left on the tomatoes when you pickle them.

You can make pickled green tomatoes by putting them in a pickling jar sealed really tight with pickling seasoning, and vinegar. It takes a long time. I would say at least a couple of weeks for the pickling affect to set in, just like anything that you pickle from your home.

You can pickle tomatoes just the same as you pickle any other fruit or vegetable. Pickling spice is a must, then get quart-size mason jars. Put in your pickling spice and tomatoes then fill with hot water. Put on the seals and lids and boil the jars until air-tight and sealed.
