You can use a variety of ways. Some specialty stores have kits available where you can buy the parts and assemble it at home.

I would go to a store that sells patterns for doll cradles, and go step by step to make sure I could build one, and that it would last.

Tons of ways. You could find a basket and make a cover for it and then create some sort of rocker underneath it. Look at a rocking chair to figure out what you could do. Maybe a pringles container.

You can use a shoebox to make one. Line it inside with soft pretty fabric. Spray paint the outside with a pretty pink color.
