Your best option is to stick to a plan that teaches you how to eat healthy. A great goal is 2 lbs a week... exercise helps.

Make a plan of a proper healthy diet and exercise. Don't try to push your self into loosing too much weight too quickly. Once you've lost it keep maintaining it.

You can accomplish a 30lb weight loss in 32 weeks by eating a sensible diet and exercising regularly. It isn't rocket science, just expend more energy than you take in.
