A very effective way to label a CD without a label is to use a permanent marker like a sharpie. Using permanent marker ensures your labels will last as long as your CD and remain legible

Well if you don't want to use cd labels and it is not a lightscribe disk then you will have to label it by hand with a cd safe pen.
