First you must determine that you have the correct circuit conductors to do so. You will need a hot, neutral and ground conductor. If they are present purchase a receptacle and wall plate and wire according to manufacturers instructions. Make sure the circuit is off before attempting to perform this work.

If you have the required conductors present such as a hot, neutral and ground it is a simple matter of removing the existing switch and replacing it with a receptacle. You will however lose the functionality of the switch in this instance.

Basically you need to connect the wall switch wire to the outlet or you can remove the existing wall switch panel and install outlet on top.

Well, if you want to do this you have to uninstall the existing wall switch. Upon uninstalling you have to remove all the wires or connect them to the outlet.

to install an outlet take the phase, neutral, and earth wire from the main distribution board and should not take any wire connection from the wall switch because it may cause a fire or short circuit and also from the wall switch use not available neutral wire.

You can attach the outlet to the hot wire of the switch and the neutral, if there is a neutral wire in the switch box.

Determine whether neutral wire is present in switchbox. If it is then you can put a plug in. If not, then get a neutral and ground wire to that box.
