If at all possible try to ease them in: a couple of hours the first day, snack and playtime second day, etc. A week is ideal. If that is not possible, talk up the new daycare and all the fun things they will do there as much as possible.

For the first couple of days, if it is acceptable to the day care provider, you could stay a while until the child goes down for a nap, and t hen gradually shorten your stays until the child is eager to go into the facility without you. This way the child starts out with a level of comfort.

If it's possible see if you and your children could visit the daycare for a few hours together one day. Let them interact with the children and see how they adjust. In time your children will adjust to the daycare, so don't be worried about them having a hard time.

Children tend to adapt to new surroundings alot quicker than adults. The most important thing is to let them adapt on their own. As parents we tend to want to protect our children from everything. We tend to stay right by their side and overly encourage them to like new things instead of letting them adapt on their own.

Spend the first couple of days with them at the daycare center. Just knowing your are there helps them adjust so you can eventually leave.

Children take little time to get adjusted but once adjusted they have no problem. first of all explain your child telling him that the new care is better and give him something he likes so that he will be happy.
