Grinding flour at home is not a problem nowadays. Flour mills are available in the market for a home. Its a small box which can be easily kept in the kitchen as well. The grains have to be put in the container inside and put it on as per instructions.

You would have to get either an electric grinder that would do all the work for you or a stone grinder. With a stone grinder you would have to place the wheat in the stone and it will either have a hand held churn or smasher, Just mash or grind the wheat till its fine.

You need to get a mortar and pestle and really work your cereal grains. They will become dehulled so you can grind the contents into a fine powder.

It can be done by hand but is much easier with an electric coffee or spice grinder, blender or food processor. Freshness and combined grain flours are pluses.

Sock the flour in water for atleast 2 hours. Drain water from the flour and put into the grinder. Start the grinder and add water to the flour as required.

The biggest advantage of homemade flour is that no nutrients are lost in the process and the result is a fresh flavorful product.
