How can I get rid of a desktop toolbar?

In Windows go to your Control Panel. Through your Programs icon click on "Uninstall a program." Find the program that installed the tool bar and uninstall it.

Go to 'Control Panel' and then 'Uninstall a Program'. The toolbar will be listed among the programs and just as you would uninstall any other program, you do the same here.

You should be able uninstall the toolbar from the add/remove section under the control panel. Look for it in the list of installed programs and click uninstall.

Go to add/remove programs. Look for the toolbar name. Then remove the program for the toolbar. If this does not work, go to the toolbar add-ons and turn it off. If you cannot remove it, it may be malicious software; scan the computer.

Typically a program will come wit an uninstall tool. Use this to remove it. If it has none then use the ad/remove tool in the control panel to uninstall it.
