How can I get lipstick out of white carpet?

Lipstick stains on any carpet is very difficult to get out. It is important to clean it right away. Clean up any excess lipstick by scraping up not rubbing in. The next best thing is Goo Gone and dap at stain not rub.

First you can use a small carpet cleaner like mean green with some cleaning solutions. If the spot is small then they make carpet cleaner in a can that you can spray on it to dissolve it.

Mix 1/4 cup dish detergent with a few capfuls of Woolite in a gallon of warm water and blot stain using a clean rag. Kepp using a clean rag as to not put more stain on your carpet. Blot residue with a clean cloth dipped in warm water. Let carpet dry and vacumn

Use denatured alcohol to remove the color and dishwashing soap that does not contain lanolin to break down greasy oil. If there is still discoloration mix equal parts of hydrogen peroxide and water and apply this to the stain and let sit for twenty minutes. You may need to repeat this until stain is gone.

First, try soap and water: dab, don't scrub. Next, try Shout, then move on to a spray-type carpet cleaner (remember, let set then dab, don't rub). More serious options include Goo Gone, fingernail polish remover, and, finally, in a last ditch effort, paint thinner. Be sure to test a small spot first.
