How can I get good at coming up with melodies?

It seems so easy when other people do it.

Learn your basic chords and keys first, then move onto standard chord sequences and variations. Once you have a good feel for how different chords play off of each other, adding a melody will be much easier. Just add tension and release, and you can't go wrong.

You learn to write well by writing a lot. The same is true with making melodies. Play some things until you find out what you like and be sure you record the things you like (music notation or mp3 recorder). Also listen carefully to other people's melodies to see what you like in them. Keep working on it.

I suggest doing something stimulating and then sitting down to come up with something. Find out what kind of thinker you are. you may find that you need to think about it mathematically and go through it step by step. Or start playing random chords until something catches your ear.

This is quite a tall order. You'll first have to be exceedingly good at playing some instrument. When you get a good feel for it improvisation comes more easily.

There are many books on melody creation, but the truth is you should stick to simple harmonies for more complex melodies. A "good" melody isn't necessarily complex, but the more complex the harmony, the more restrictive and less free your melody can be. A good melody has a pattern- repeats itself, but is often altered the 2nd time.
