Realize that there are legitimate causes of depression that can last, from mourning the dead to loss of a job or friends. Accept the loss, then you can move on.

Eat a healthy diet, exercise, and go to sleep and wake up at the same time every day. Do things with friends even when you don't feel like it, as studies have shown activity and socializing with others helps to alleviate depression. Consider finding a therapist if things don't improve.

You could always try to add something into your daily routine that is different than what you are currently used to. Always try to keep yourself busy so that you have less time to think about the things that are causing you to feel depressed.

Try to have more sleep and organic food instead of baked food. If possible, learn yoga that can help you to come out of depression. Avoid medication and try to walk in unpolluted environment

You could go on Anti-Depression medication. If you don't think you need it or are unsure you could talk to a Therapist to see if that will help you any. For some people talking to someone can really make you feel great. It's nice to get your thoughts out and not have someone judge you.
