How can I find out who is my orthodox saint?

Answer by  Funky (16)

Well, it's depends on your name. The best idea is to go to orthodox church ad ask there.Or you could take church's calendar and look up for day of you bithday. Then from this day and down look for your name. The first orthodox saint with your name will be yours.

IF you know meditation it is possible to find the saint. With out the saint's willingness you can't find him.If you have any elderly priest near by approach him.Even then I doubt about the success. Only deep prayer and neditation alone will help you.Good Luck!

You receive your saint name at baptism. This usually happens when children are very young. The Orthodox don't wait to baptize. Ask your parents or priest for your baptismal certificate, and that is your baptismal nickname. If you haven't been baptized yet, then you will be allowed to pick your baptismal name. This can be any Orthodox saint.
