The only precise way to date conception is with a dating ultrasound. This will measure key parts of the fetus, such as the femur and skull, to determine fetal age. If you're periods are regular, you most likely conceived 14 days after the start of your last normal period.

You will know that you have conceived if you do not have a period at the time you were supposed to. You can take a pregnancy test the day after you missed your period.
