Cuttings should be around 5" long with several little "bumps" on them. Remove bottom leaves from the stem and place in glass of water so approximately 2" of cutting is covered. Change water freqently and when cuttings take root, place in pot making sure roots are covered. Keep moist and warm. Cuttings in water can live in water indefinately.

Dip your cuttings in rooting compound to encourage good root growth. Completely wet your potting mix before planting an inch deep. Cover with lightweight clear plastic, indirect lighting or fluorescents.

First cut a shoot that is 6 inches long and remove lower leaves. You can purchase a rooting compound at your local store and when you dip the end of your shoot in this it will help your plant take root. place in potting soil and water.

Ivy plants like to be warm so, the warmer the spot the better. Also young and green shoots root faster than older ones.
