If it's an electric one, take the fuse out. Alternatively, cut a power line anywhere inside, it takes 5 mins to fix it back with a soldering iron.

Either take out fuse from main box and or put in a dummy fuse, or get to back and undo wires from wall socket terminals, leave them there covered up
