Identify the problem with its paw and remove any stickers, splinters, or other items stuck in a wound. Disinfect the wound and use a thin bandage to promote air flow.

Well, from experience, there is nothing you can really do. Just try to make the dog lay down and get lots of rest. Try not to get him wound up.

If the injury is very bad take him to the vet as soon as possible or to an emergence vet.
