If it's just a sore, put some vitamin e gel on it and cover it with a sock. If it is more than that, give you dog a bayer aspirin.

Always have a vet check, even if it doesn't look serious to you a professional will be able to determine the best treatment. You can use 'ace bandaging wrap' to make a sling that will hold the foot up, but this should only be a temporary fix. Also, you can get an air-crate to keep the dog in.
