How can be done for a stiff Moen shower diverter?

Any suggestions are welcome.

A stiff shower diverter is the result of water deposit inside the spigot. Clean the slide area using a scraping tool and a de-scaler. ie. Limeaway

First take the cap plate off that reveals a phillips head screw. Remove screw and diverter. Use a old tooth brush with some Mild cleaner to clean behind diverter. Reattach.

Take the cover off of the front of the diverter usually one screw unscrew the big nut and spray with sow wd 40 this should loosen it up so you can move it a lot smoother

Check with your local moen distributer and purchase a rebuild kit for the model of shower handle and diverter you have
