A catfish caught in the Mekong River in Northern Thailand is considered one of the largest fresh water fish ever caught in the world. It belongs to the species known as the Mekong giant catfish. It measured over 9 ft long and weighed an astonishing 646 pounds! Now that's a big Fish!

I don't think you mean a whale? The largest (heaviest fish) ever caught was in 1908 in the Australian coast. It was a two-ton sunfish. It was 10 feet long, 14 feet wide and weighed 4927 pounds. It was towed in and had to be weighed on a weighbridge do to its incredible size.
