This is a possible sign of a fish preparing to drop eggs. Some species of fish give birth to live young (guppies, mollies, platies) and this would indicate pregnancy.

While pregnancy is a possibility, it is not likely. Most species of aquarium fish don't breed readily under normal home aquarium settings (with the exception of livebearers like platys and guppies). Your fish could be ill instead.

It may be some signs of laying egg if the excretary part of the fish is bit shiny and male used just buzz around the male. Dont over feed the fish and it may also cause the problem. Provide many natural plants in the tank as it may be helpful when it is laying the eggs
