In a state sanctioned event, the State Athletic Commision is in charge of selecting and monitoring judges. Contact your local state Athletic Commision.

Boxing judges need to be licensed by each individual state's boxing regulating board. Usually experience, passing tests on rules of boxing, and a clean back ground check are required for licensure.

If you want to become a boxing judge, you should contact your state boxing association. They can give you many details about all the steps required to become a fully fledged boxing judge. You will likely have to start out by judging amateur bouts, and as you gain experience, you many move to bigger bouts.

boxing judges are chosen on the premis of how much experience they have with the sport, for example a former refferee would be an excellent choice for a judge, because they have alot of knowledge about the sport

Most boxing judges either work for the state athletic commission or are former boxing referees. You would need to apply with the state boxing commission in your state to be a judge.
