Heat, in and of itself, does not cause a stroke, or cerebral vascular accident. However, there is a phenomenon known as heat stroke, which is when a person is exposed to too much heat and their body can not compensate for the overheating. It is not a true stroke, but it is life threatening.

Most definitely. When the body is overheated it can cause a great deal of stress on the system which can cause a stroke if you are at risk for one.

It welknown that heat causes stroke. Some heart attacks are sudden and intense — the "movie heart attack," where no one doubts what's happening. But most heart attacks start slowly, with mild pain or no pain. There may be chest discomfort or discomfort in other areas of the upper body, hard to breath or sweating.

Yes, this is appropriately called a heat stroke. It occurs when a person's body becomes too hot and has no way of cooling itself down (sweating, body temp regulation etc. ) This can be caused by severe lack of hydration. If this happens get into a cool area and drink water!
